I've had an opportunity to have hands on experience with running a preschool at Maxwell High School of Technology. We were required to have a background check, complete CPR, first aid and fire safety certification. We also had to create a resume and cover letter to bring to our mock interview. We also created numerous lesson plans, dressed according to a professional dress code, and taught our lesson plans three days out of the week to 3-4 year olds.
