It's International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) today Tuesday, March 31st!

"International Transgender Day of Visibility is honored every year on March 31 and is a time to celebrate transgender people around the globe and the courage it takes to live openly and authentically, while also raising awareness around the discrimination trans people still face."

Check out the link below from the Human Rights Campaign for resources about coming out and the history of the day: https://www.hrc.org/resources/international-transgender-day-of-visibility

I also wanted to mention the passing of beloved and prominent transgender rights activist Lorena Borjas, who died yesterday at the age of 60 in New York from complications with COVID-19. She had spent 25 years - almost half of her life - dedicated to fighting for the trans community, especially for Latinx peoples. You can learn more about her history, work, and tributes to her here: https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/coronavirus/lorena-borjas-pioneering-transgender-latina-activist-in-nyc-dies-from-covid-19/2351601/

Please stay safe and remain inside, if you are able, to protect those around you.
