Education History
Since high school, I was always interested in math and science. I started college with the intention of getting a degree in Physics. My progress through school was always slow going because I needed to keep a full-time job. But I never quit! After 6 years working towards a degree, I changed my path to biology because I want to study genetic disorders in animals. I'm about to transfer to ASU and I want to be a full-time student until I graduate. It's my intention to go on to get my master or doctorate in genetic disorders.
Awards
I won a national competition, sponsored by NSF to study at the Texas A&M Commerce for 11 weeks. I got to use the SARA telescopes to track specific asteroids and graph their reflected light patterns in order to predict their shape and size.
