I have totaled 135 hours of community service throughout my four years at Boone High School.
Healthy Lifestyles Clinic Volunteer (10th-12th)
Volunteer with nurses, dietitians, and doctors to inform families in ways to eat healthier and stay physically active. Helped keep the children engaged in the activities during the clinic. Through fostering new relationships, I was able to provide the children with the support and motivation they needed for this program.
Science Tutoring Volunteer (11th-12th)
Volunteer science tutor after school for all science classes ranging from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc. I would help students grow in their knowledge and understanding of science related topics.
In Motion Arts Alliance Volunteer (11th-12th)
Volunteer with In Motion Arts Alliance to further the dance education of children in the Central Florida area. Through this organization, I was able to create relationships with young dancers to help them grow in their confidence, motivation, and coordination. Through sharing my 13 years of dance experience, I helped young dancers create a foundation of dance knowledge.
Writing Center Consultant (12th)
Worked with Boone students at all levels to offer suggestions to improve their writing. Offered guidance and revisions to help students achieve a potentially higher grade on their paper. Acted as a second set of eyes to give students an outside perspective on their writing.
Key Club International Member/Volunteer (10th)
Volunteer in many community related events. Made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the homeless, created friendship bracelets for special needs children, and donated supplies and food to the less fortunate.
