My brother has a rare disease called Mastocytosis which has caused numerous hurdles and trials for my family. My mother had to stop working to ensure his safety so we have struggled on one income for most of my life. It also made it so every member of the family was very secluded due to him being allergic to everything. I was only able to start extracurricular activities in my 7th grade year. Everything I chose to take or do was my own decision and took lots of learning to balance keeping my brother safe as well as living my life and getting involved in the community.

Oak Hill lacked a cross country team at the high school until I took the measures to start it for the 2016-2017 year. They also lack a track team which has been fought for for 3 years but they will not budge. We have the option to go practice with another team but I wasn't able to actually perform in events last year due to a massive injury towards the beginning of the season.

Additional Info
Due to being in a youth group there were many service projects throughout the years of just helping the community. Helping elderly people chop wood for the winter season. Fixing people's yards. Working at soup kitchens. Holding auctions to benefit different causes. My entire life has been dedicated to service through projects from my church, Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn ME.
