Awards
I have been a Varsity althlete since Sophomore year and I was on Junior Varsity in Freshman year. Recently, I placed 20th in the state and first in my high school for the alpine race team. As a team, we placed second in the state of California. Also, I am a black belt in Mixed Martial Arts, and I have been training with my studio for eight years.
Employment History
I have been working at West Coast World Martial Arts, a martial arts studio, as an instructor for two years. At the studio, I instruct children starting at three years old to adults.
Community Service
History
I am in two different community service clubs in which I volunteer weekly. I am a member of the Youth Executive League of the Library, which is a club where we plan and volunteer at various community events every week. Also, I volunteer at the Montessori Autistic Program and Services, where I volunteer with a group of three boys every Wednesday. We help the kids with their social skills and just help them relax. During Autism Awareness Month, I gave a speech at a nearby Charter school in order to encourage the students to be more inclusive toward their peers and always be open minded. I have been recognized for over two-hundred community service hours in the National Honor Society.
