• ACHA Congenital Heart Walk -- June 2018 to present // Leadership Position: Team Co-Captain and leading fundraiser // The Congenital Heart Walk, sponsored by Walk 1 in 100 and the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) aims to raise awareness and funding for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). The walk takes place every spring, but fundraising and recruiting efforts occur year-round. In 2018 and 2019, I served as a team co-captain, where my main role was to recruit team members, keep everyone updated, and remind our team members to fundraise. I also created team shirts and coordinated transportation to and from the walk, as well as a team breakfast and lunch. I was a leading fundraiser both years, raising $150+ for CHD research. Unfortunately, this year’s walk was canceled, but we still raised about $100 as a team.
