After my cousin spent 6 weeks in the Children’s Hospital, I wanted to give back. I came up with
the idea of making hats. I’ve always been interested in art and recently started knitting. Since then, I’ve found numerous organizations asking/needing hats, not just for kids, but teens and adults as well. This lead me to organize my own non-profit charity group, “Ava’s Hat Heroes.”
I’ve shared this with family and friends, who have joined me in knitting hats to donate to
organizations under my label.
To date, we have donated 250 hats!
