I was an avid reader in elementary school, but what frustrated me was the lack of independent female main characters, especially Asian ones, in the books that I read. Therefore, I decided to start writing my own.
Fast forward many years and I have written and published many books; both chapter books and graphic novels representing characters from different backgrounds, and expressing important themes, from friendship and discovering oneself, to the destructiveness of greed and the importance of family. (My books can be found in many bookstores, and online at Amazon.com as well.)
With my books, I hope to inspire kids to read and write more often. I have met thousands of readers through my author events, classroom visits, and the writing workshops I co-hosted. It was a great experience, and I am excited to continue making more amazing memories with readers and everyone I meet along the way.
In addition to that, I started an English tutoring business with my friends. We help kids with reading, writing, oral communication, presentation, leadership, and more. My core belief is that, when given the right help and encouragement, kids are able to unlock their creativity and passion to chase and achieve their dreams, and I am eager to continue helping them with that.

I am an author and publisher: I write and publish books. My books have been bestsellers before in the local bookstores, and have won best product awards at local business events. I have also been interviewed in the local newspaper before for my books.

Employment History
I started an English tutoring business with my friends. As the manager, I tutor students, manage relations with customers, advertise to connect with more parents and students, create session materials, organize and plan, sync with and pay my friends, etc.

We have helped several of our students get into the gifted program, or into highly-ranked private schools.
Additional Info
Most of our students are in Washington, with some being in California, and a few in Beijing, China. We tutor both virtually and in-person, depending on the location of our student.
Community Service
History
I am in the National Honor Society club at my school, which I volunteer through. I help pickup trash around campus, donate canned food, etc. I have also made Google Form escape rooms for the King County Library system before as an educational tool for kids.
Additional Info
I will also sometimes donate a portion of my book sale proceeds to local charities, nonprofit organizations, and to the PTA at my school. I have donated over several hundred dollars that way.
