Education History
• About a year after graduating high school, I started classes at my community college because I wanted to become a special education teacher. While I was a student, I stared working at a local school as a special education teacher aide. The new adjustment of living on my own and becoming more independent was hard; and after a short time I found myself taking less class and working more to pay bills. After that, falling in love and starting a family became my new priority. Taking me farther from the dream I once had of finishing school and becoming a teacher. I loved my job, I stayed for 18 years, but unfortunately only as a aide. I am now 41 and find myself struggling as a single mother, regretting my choice to leave school. This past Christmas I made a promise to my daughters and I, to go back to school and graduate and give our family the peace and mind that we will always be able to take care of ourselves, and my girls promised me that they would follow in momma’s footsteps and to to college too! Everyday is a new day, a new chance to start over ❤️
This past December, I started classes as Carrington College in their Medical Billing and Coding program. In 9 1/2 months, I receive a certificate for completing their program . After that, I am excited to return to their Associate Program for MBC
