I am civil engineering student, doing my senior year on a Dual Degree Program at both University of South Florida, USA, and Universidad del Norte, Colombia.

• Samuel Fletcher Tapman ASCE Student Chapter Scholarship: “Samuel Fletcher Tapman ASCE Student Chapter Scholarship is presented annually to undergraduate civil engineering students, who will use the scholarship for tuition expenses and fees”.
• Student Representative on the College of Engineering’s Committee: Worked as a Student Representative on the College of Engineering’s Committee, which enabled me to develop leadership skills and represent students interests in the government of Universidad del Norte’s College of Engineering. 4-5 hours per week.
• Uninorte’s ASCE Student Chapter President: Worked with no payment, serving as the president of the Uninorte’s ASCE Student Chapter. 2-4 hours per week.
• “Premio Sika 2016” Sika Award, First Place: Along with my team, I was awarded with the Sika Award 2016. We developed a project to make a data center building more efficient and sustainable.
• “Orgullo Caribe” Civil Engineering Scholarship

- Construction and Demolition Waste Management Paper: On the process of publishing a paper about Construction and Demolition Waste (C&DW) Management in Barranquilla, Colombia. It analyzes the legislative framework about C&DW in Colombia, and proposes the best strategy to manage them in Barranquilla, taking into account the specific conditions of the city such as: population, weather, culture and the market. The objective is to formulate a sustainable management model for a growing city in a developing country.

• Acted as a research assistant at the Corrosion Laboratory of University of South Florida. 20 hours per week.
• Responsible for taking electrical measurements of concrete specimens, making chemical analysis of samples and analyzing the data that is obtained from each test.

• Project assistant in Triple A S.A. E.S.P. (Barranquilla’s Water-Supply, Sewage and Sanitation company).
• Responsible for elaborating the budget and making the cost analysis for different projects. Also required to help analyze the technical evaluation of bids.
• Performed the role of an inspector in some construction projects.
• Highlights: developed a project to improve Construction and Demolition Waste Management at the company. Published a procedural and methodological manual along with Universidad del Norte and Triple A, to help any company in Barranquilla that may need a starting point.
