Additional Info
I graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High school in 2016. My sister was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder at a young age. We went through the same school district so some of the faculty assumed that I had the same disorder. I believe this caused me to be held under my potential for much of my k-12 academic career. Since I was not pushed, I did not bother to push myself. When it came time for me to apply to colleges, the same narrative applied. I did the bare minimum while taking the ACT and scored 25. This was enough to get me into all of the schools who wanted me to play volleyball for them. I began attendance at Augsburg University on the fall of 2016. It was there that I discovered my true academic potential. My professors encouraged me and acknowledged my intelligence. I began to believe in myself and push myself. I now have a 3.89 GPA. The B and the B+ I earned in the fall of 2018 were in Calculus and Intermediate Macro Economics. These grades were very disappointing but I keep in mind received them in the midst of dual concussions. Overall I am very impressed with my grades that semester considering the circumstances.

I have played volleyball at a competitive level since the age of eleven. My career began at Mizuno Northern Lights. I thank this program for growing me and cultivating me into who I am today. They taught me the true value of strength, time management, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership. In 2016 I went on to play collegiate volleyball at Augsburg University. I will begin my last season and end my volleyball career in the fall of 2019.
