I am the first in my family to attend college. I was thinking to build my own business. And I found out accounting is the most important element of the business. So I decided to change from finance major to accounting major. I am obtaining my Associate's Degree in Accounting by fall 2019. And I will be obtaining Bachelor's Degree in Accounting by 2020. I’d like to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after graduating, and continue to pursue my Master of Business Administration degree (MBA). I am planning to apply to Arizona State University. My optimal goal with an MBA degree is to enrich my professional knowledge, gain experience working for an accounting firm, and obtain the skills I need to get promoted in my field.

I was driving for LYFT (2016) and got rear ended by a truck at a red light. My car was damaged beyond repair. Consequently, I became unemployed. Currently, I am under Humira treatment for Hidradenitis Suppurativa disease. I live with my brother without paying rent and utility bills. I obtained financial aid grant and student loan for the fall semester to fund my college and some living expenses. My family is not able to support me financially. However, they are providing me housing, food, and transportation. In 2016, I purchased a rental property with my friends, but the tenant stopped paying rents for months and damaged the property. Eventually, we evicted them and in 2017, we sold the property below half price after repair. I lost a lot money in that deal. I am still paying for the debt; however, through these experiences, I became more knowledgeable and disciplined about handling money.
Community Service
History
I am part of the Homeless Ministry at the Great Phoenix Chinese Christian Church. We prepared the food and passed out the meal to the homeless. We created care packages which include toiletries, bus passes, and additional food. My church also participated in the Feed My Starving Children organization. I helped by preparing the food packages.
