Education History
I have completed grades K-11 and am currently in my senior year of high school. I will be graduating high school in June, and will be attending the University of Wyoming starting in the fall of 2019 to earn a bachelor's degree in Energy Systems Engineering.
Additional Info
From eighth grade through all of high school, I have taken courses through the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program. This program offers courses that teach students about the fundamentals of engineering and STEM-related fields. We get to participate in many hands-on activities that have clear real-world connections, and are taught applicable mathematics in addition to any other math courses we might already be taking. I believe taking these PLTW courses has significantly helped set me up for a career in engineering.

Additional Info
I've been playing the saxophone in school from 6-12th grade, first playing the alto saxophone then switching to the tenor sax in eighth grade. I've been in my school's jazz ensembles from 7-12th grade, and percussion ensemble from 9-11th grade. I've been in my high school's marching band, as well, from 9-12th grade, participating as a section leader for other students for three of those years. Music is definitely one of my passions! Participating in band and being involved in music has not only taught me how to be a leader for others, but has given me a mental discipline that cannot be learned anywhere else.
