English is my first language, I can hold a conversation in French, and am currently learning Spanish as well as continuing with French. I have also taken two years of Japanese. At university I will learn Arabic. I have played the violin since I was six, in a variety of styles, but mostly classical.

• Mayor’s Certificate of Recognition on March 11th, 2014 for being a member of the Sister Cities Committee Student Delegation that will travel to our sister city of Shingu, Japan, from March 23-April 3, 2014, who will serve as an esteemed goodwill ambassador from the City of Santa Cruz to build cross-cultural understanding between Santa Cruz and Shingu.
• President’s Award for Educational Excellence in 6th grade and 8th grade (7th grade I was homeschooled for).

In high school I was a part of Santa Cruz High School’s Model United Nations. My goal is to transfer to UC Berkeley or UCLA through Cabrillo’s Honors Transfer Program. Because my goal is to work in the Foreign Service, I am majoring in Political Science at Cabrillo College, and will major in Middle Eastern studies once I transfer to UCLA’s or UC Berkeley’s College of Letters and Sciences.
