Education History
I believe my academic record provides an accurate representation of me as a student. At a very competitive high school like Walton, what sets me apart from the other ambitious students is my work ethic and time management skills. I challenged myself during my junior and senior year by taking all honors and AP classes. It is strenuous to get an A at Walton, but I received A’s in Honors Spanish 4, Honors Chemistry, and Honors World History. The most challenging course of my high school experience was AP US History. I spent my time getting tutored, studying in the library during lunch, and meeting with teachers before school. Eventually, the B’s and C’s I received on tests and essays turned into A’s. I encouraged myself go above and beyond the average student, and my diligence paid off.

I have received awards two years in a row for singing at the Cobb County Teacher Retirement Luncheon. I also received an award for singing the National Anthem at a Cobb County Event for administration. In chorus, I received a lettering award for dedicating hours of my free time to various chorus events.

History
I have volunteered for Junior Theatre Festival every January since sophomore year, and overall I have earned 31 hours. This festival brings people from all over the world to Atlanta, Georgia under one roof to celebrate amazing student theatre productions. My days started as early as 6 am and ended as late as 11 pm. My role was to be available for any questions a visitor had and to take children to their appropriate rehearsal or performance rooms. I earned 20 hours during Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church Atlanta. I was in a group of about 20 volunteers, and we would supervise kids from preschool to eighth grade during their bible school activities. Our assistance confirmed that the camp was running efficiently. During the summer, I spent my days (from 8 am to 3 pm) volunteering at different theatre camps. For the two summers that I participated in this, I earned 123 hours. I was an assistant to two directors and a voice teacher for the kids. I taught them songs, worked with different voice parts, and gave them tips on how to improve their singing and acting. In September of 2018, I volunteered for “Art in the Park” at Marietta Square. I was in charge of the “Chalk Spot” for this community gathering, and I volunteered by welcoming people of all ages to show off their artistic abilities.
