National Honors Society – 11th, 12th
Earned society membership by maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA and performing over 30 hours of community service at time of application. Currently maintaining society status by logging at least 15 hours of community service per semester and demonstrating scholarship, leadership, service, and character on and off campus. Acted as treasurer, 12th. Organized acceptance process for my chapter.
California Scholarship Federation – 9th, 10th, 11th, predicted for 12th
Received scholarship status by maintaining eligible grades and completing over 15 hours of community service per semester. Acted as chairperson in 11th and 12th grade. Awarded CSF Seal Bearer status by being an active member for over four semesters in the last three years of high school.

Award for Excellence in Sculpture – 10th
Received award in the sculpture category at the Clayton Valley Charter Art Expo. Spent over two weeks sculpting figurines of myself and my dog sitting in a lily pad pond. Prize included a medal, certificate, and small monetary award. Competed against at least 10 other participants.
Employment History
• Math Tutor at Mathnasium – October 2018 - present
• 36 weeks per year, average 8 hours per week
• Tutored students grades K-8 in mathematics and helped with school homework. Also performed office tasks such as printing worksheets, cleaning the center, and restocking items as needed. Promoted the center by designing and displaying monthly whiteboard.

• Earning Purpose:
• Sought out employment at Mathnasium to increase leadership skills, responsibility, and work experience. I enjoy teaching others and working with kids. I save most of my earnings to pay for future college expenses, plus am responsible for buying many necessities such as clothing and gas.

• Attended club meetings, during which students made small crafts to hand out, or performed other random acts of kindness to help spread positivity or awareness throughout the community. Participated in group community service projects.

• Formed a nonprofit organization to help people with cancer grow their own gardens and sustain themselves with homegrown, organic food. Currently our team has received three interested clients and has already built two vegetable beds for cancer survivors.

• • Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden (PHIG) Volunteer – 10th, 11th, predicted 12th

Volunteered at the PHIG once every few months by picking weeds, raking leaves, creating compost, and planting shrubs. Enjoyed helping out the community garden, while also learning about how to take care of my own home garden.
