Now I am on a gap year in Ecuador with a program called Global Citizen Year - I am interning at a school for children with special needs from September 2018 - April 2019 in Girón, Ecuador.
Community Service
History
• I was in a service club called buildOn at my high school for 4 years. With this club I travelled to Malawi, Africa and Haiti to start the construction of primary schools in two villages, and helped raise money for the necessary supplies. In addition, I did service around my community with this club, winning an 100+ hours of service award each year.
• I also served a two year term (2016, 17) on a teen board for the Starfish Project for Children - a service organization with the goal of incentivizing children to get involved in service at a young age.
