  • Education History I have several academic achievements. I began to take high school courses during middle school. I currently have a weighted GPA of 5.379 (unweighted of 4.00). I was ranked as first in my class for freshman and junior year. I am still ranked as first out of 429 students at this point of my senior year. I have taken several Advanced Placement classes. I earned the AP Scholar with Honor Award for my performance on my AP exams. I have also earned a Palmetto Girls State Certificate for my acceptance into the program and an Upstate Junior Scholar award for my academic merit.

Professional

  • Employment History I am a crew member and crew trainer at McDonald's. It is my responsibility to make sure that new workers know how to greet customers, handle customer situations, and how to serve customers to the best of his/her abilities. I am a very strong worker given that I often perform some of the same tasks as the managers, such as running the floor. After working there for over 1.5 years, I have learned a number of things about people. I have met different kinds of people with personalities all over the spectrum. I have noticed how the most discrete problems, such as a drop of soda on the side of a cup, can drive people up the wall. I have also met some of the kindest people at my job. McDonald's has taught me not only customer service skills, but also that people will never fail to surprise you.
  • Additional Info I have made a hobby out of reselling certain items that I have on resale platforms, such as Mercari. I have many clothes, hair accessories, shoes, games, and other miscellaneous items in my room that I no longer want or have use for. I donate a good portion of it to Goodwilll. But for the remainder of it, I choose to repurpose it in order to make some money back. I post it on the selling platforms along with a detailed description of each item. I then have to package and ship the item (via UPS) to my buyers. I find it to be an enjoyable pastime because I can simultaneously free space in my room, earn a few extra dollars, and make someone happy with things I no longer want.

Community Service

  • History • The Interact Club is one of my favorite clubs that I have participated in throughout my high school career. I joined this club during my sophomore year (2018). The mission of this club is to help those in need, whether that be those in the local community or on the other side of the globe. We sponsored homeless children during the Christmas holiday, hosted fundraising events, as well as packaged food for families across the world. I enjoyed Interact Club because its goal was to make a lasting impact on everyone around us.

    • National Honor Society is the club that highlights my academic ability as well as my nature to give back to the world. NHS provides opportunities for me to specifically give back to my community. Over this past summer, I volunteered my time at Meals on Wheels. It opened my eyes to just how much of a difference a few people and a couple of hours can make in whether or not hundreds of families go hungry. It genuinely makes me happy to know that I can improve the quality of living for people that I don't even know just by helping to package meals. I received an invitation to join in 2019, and I am currently still a member.
