Education History I attended Longfellow Spanish Immersion K-8 School, where I took the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam and was awarded with the Biliteracy Attainment Award. Attending Longfellow really prepared me to enter high at Mission Bay High School where I have chosen to be in the rigorous International Baccalaureate Program. Currently, I am taking 4 Higher level courses (English, Spanish, Biology, and Film) along with 2 Standard Level courses (Psychology and Math Studies.

Awards Through a website called VSCO, I’ve been able to display my work in an orderly fashion to different photographers around the globe. The community on VSCO is very inspiring. Through the website, I have grown to be a better photographer. Some of my photos have even been selected to be published by VSCO. Receiving publication of my work has continued to motivate me to create even better photography.
Additional Info I’ve been doing photography for about 6 years. Though photography I view the world from a different perspective. I also try to integrate photography and biology by focusing on the beauty of nature. Sometimes as humans we disconnect ourselves to nature but with photography, I can constantly remind people that we are part of nature and that we should be appreciative of what this planet provides to us.

Awards I have been awarded with an amazing opportunity that will take place this summer. I was given a paid apprenticeship position in a program called SEAP (Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program). Through this 8 week program, I will be able to conduct research with the navy. I am very honored and excited that I received this position and that I will be able to get experience in the field of science research.

Community Service

Additional Info I am the founder of the Garden Club at Mission Bay High School. Through this club, I host Sow Party's where I teach students how to sow seeds and how they can start their own garden at home. I also emphasize the importance of biodiversity, as one of my goals is to increase biodiversity through the garden. I also teach students about the health benefits in regards to growing food. Overall, I’m very excited about the community I've been forming and I see a lot of potential growth within this club.
