I believe in challenging myself, and I think that the rigor of my classes will better prepare me for college, further increasing my chances of success. I plan on taking at least two more AP classes and a dual credit class my senior year to accomplish this goal. • Awards In middle school, I was a band kid and I spent my first 2 years playing alto saxophone and my last year I played tenor saxophone. I used to receive medals for getting 1st division at solo competitions and ensemble competitions with my section. I no longer participate in band or theater, but trying these things in middle school have made me more well rounded, as it gave me more insight into things I would otherwise not be well accustomed to (ex. greater appreciation for music, how to fake confidence through public speaking, play a role). I also danced professionally for 7 years as a kid and received a trophy for it, but I ended up quitting for basketball and taekwondo at the time. • Awards - I have not yet received an award surrounding my professional interests, but hopefully once I start my job this summer I would be extremely grateful if I were to receive recognition for a quality work ethic and dedication.
