Employment History
• Research Assistant at Florida International University. I was a part of numerous therapeutic individual and family therapy sessions for children with ADHD. My work included keeping updated client files, in-puting all assessments and intakes into the SPSS database, calling clients and scheduling visits, performing client intake, post assessments, and any task as directed to me by my supervisor. I worked two consecutive semesters at the center.
• Counselor at the Summer Treatment Program for Adolescents with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (STP) at Florida International University. The program is a prestigious opportunity highly recognized by the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatry Association. The goal of the program is to prepare young adolescents with behavioral issues for the upcoming school year. I was able to work first hand with these children and monitor their academic needs and their behavioral issues.
• Customer Service Retail at Victoria Secret. Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs. Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payment. Maintain records related to sales. Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations
• YWCA of Greater Miami Aftercare Counselor None profit organization at Coral Gables Preparatory Academy. This position reports to the Site Manager or Program Coordinator and carries the major responsibility of teaching and nurturing the children in an After School Program setting, as well as the general maintenance of the group area. The position has special assignments within specialized program areas, including some specific grant funded additional components.
