Most Improved Award for Concert Choir- The most improved award gives recognition to a student who has shown hard work and great progress over the course of a school year. The award is given by a vote of all choir students to one person in each choir. Throughout the year, I was able to improve my confidence, which lead me to sing out and be a leader in class, as well as giving me more material to experiment with as I found my vocal style.

• Third Degree Black Belt- I earned my third degree black belt in Taekwondo after nine years of hard work and dedication. Committing to Taekwondo for nine years also built my perseverance and goal setting skills. Even when it was a struggle to get out of bed and make it to class, I pushed myself to show up and do the very best that I could. I also had the opportunity to travel to South Korea as a part of Taekwondo, which gave me cultural experiences that I might never have had otherwise.

Local Babysitting, Petcare, Yard Work, and Odd Jobs- I run a babysitting, petcare, and odd jobs service in my area. I have quite a few regular clients, and the source of income has allowed me to save up for experiences I want to have. I originally started the business to fund a trip to South Korea, and running the business has taught me how to advertise in my area, communicate effectively and professionally with clients, solve problems on the fly, compromise, and budget the money I earn.

History
• Feeding the Homeless at Maplewood Presbyterian Church- I volunteer with my church St. Hilda St. Patrick Episcopal in Edmonds to cook and serve a dinner to local people without a stable place to live once a month at Maplewood Presbyterian. We serve balanced meals and provide takeout boxes so that people can take food with them and have a guaranteed meal for at least one more day. If people have a stable source of food, it makes it easier for them to focus on other things like finding a job or finding shelter.
• FRC Team 2910- I am a subteam lead on my school's FRC team as well as a human player on the drive team for two years in a row. I have had the opportunity to represent our team to potential local sponsors and to the city's board of businesses in order to gain funding and raise awareness. I have also volunteered at other FIRST events in my community to serve as a role model and a teacher to younger FIRST participants. I hope to take on an officer role within the next year.
• Sno-Isle Teen Advisory Board- The teen advisory board at my local Sno-Isle library is a group of teens who organize and host library related events throughout the year. We meet once a month to discuss plans, and I volunteer at every event I can. I've been a part of hosting an annual tea party, Halloween party, Anti- Valentines day party, and monthly teen game nights, all of which are free for anyone to join. We also write book reviews and run a blog to improve library publicity.
This is a group for students who are looking or have found scholarship opportunities they can and want to share with others.
